Pune: Landslide Cleared, Road to Rajmachi Fort Reopened for Traffic
Lonavala, 5th July 2026: A landslide occurred on Saturday afternoon on the side road beyond Rajmachi Fort towards Lonavala, near the Katal Waterfall, temporarily disrupting vehicular movement.
Authorities responded promptly and cleared the debris using a JCB machine, restoring traffic on the route within a short time.
The road is now open for traffic. However, authorities have advised motorists and tourists to exercise caution while travelling through the area, as continued monsoon rainfall may increase the risk of further landslides in the hilly terrain.
