Pune: Last Chance For Beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana To Get Flats

Pune, 28th June 2022: The winners of the online draw under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will get one last chance to get a home under the scheme. The process of verification of documents has been initiated by the administration. The flats of the beneficiaries who have not come for document verification will be given to the beneficiaries on the waiting list.

A total of 1,030 flats were vacated online on March 30 under five housing projects in Kharadi, Hadapsar and Wadgaon for the economically weaker sections under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The winning participants in this online draw needed to verify the documents quickly. For this, the beneficiaries were called for verification of documents by sending a letter by SMS, telephone and post from the municipal administration. However, most of the beneficiaries did not show up at Savarkar Bhavan for the verification of documents. Therefore, now the corporation has decided to give one last chance to these beneficiaries.

The documents will be verified by 6 pm on July 4. If the beneficiaries do not come for verification during this period, the flats will be distributed to the beneficiaries on the waiting list, assuming that they are not willing to take the flats. Document verification for the beneficiaries on the waiting list will start from July 17, the municipal administration informed.

Documents like Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Caste Certificate (if applicable), Income Certificate, Resident Certificate (Rental Agreement, Electricity Payment, Ration Card, Bank Passbook), Affidavit, and Co-Applicant Application are required.

The information of the beneficiaries on the waiting list has been made available on the website of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).
