Three Persons Dead In Different Road Accidents In Pune City

Pune, 28th June 2022: Three people have died in three different accidents in Pune city. These accidents took place at the Airport, Sinhagad, and Lonikand area. Police have filed cases at the respective police stations for the same.

Rohit Motiram Yevale (22), from Lonikand, has died in a road accident on the Pune-Ahmednagar road. A case was filed against an unknown four-wheeler driver at the Lonikand Police Station. Rohit’s brother, Nagesh Yevale (26), has filed a complaint in this case.

According to the police, Rohit was walking on the Pune-Ahmednagar road on Sunday evening at around 9 pm. At that time, a four-wheeler hit him, and he was critically injured. Police are searching for the driver.

The second accident happened in front of one of the central schools near the Air Force Station. A senior citizen, Rameshwar Bhanarkar from Lohegaon, died in the accident. The Airport Police have filed a case against an unidentified bike rider. Rameshwar’s son, Krishna Bhanarkar (28), has filed a complaint in this case. While Rameshwar was crossing the road, the bike rider hit him, and he died due to severe injuries. The Airport Police are further investigating this case.

Thirdly, an unidentified pedestrian died as a tempo hit him on the Mumbai-Bangalore highway in the Sinhagad Road area. The pedestrian could not be identified, but the police said, “His age might be around 32”. After this, a case was filed at the Sinhagad Road Police Station.
