Pune Leads Early Shift Toward Needle-Free Pediatric Immunisation

Pune, 13th February 2026: Pune’s pediatric healthcare ecosystem is beginning to witness a powerful shift in how vaccinations are delivered to children. Needle-Free Injection System vaccination is gradually changing the clinical and emotional experience of routine immunisation and is increasingly being adopted by pediatric clinics and hospitals across the city.

This shift was recently visible during a typhoid vaccination initiative at New Life Child Care Clinic & Hospital in Pimpri Chinchwad, led by pediatrician Dr Anupama Avachat. The initiative demonstrated how needle-free vaccination can reduce anxiety and distress typically associated with immunisation, with doctors observing calmer children and more reassured parents during the vaccination process.

In pediatric settings, where fear of needles often shapes a child’s perception of healthcare, needle-free delivery is helping make vaccination visits gentler and more manageable. By administering vaccines through a controlled, high-pressure stream rather than a conventional needle, the system such as IntegriMedical’s Needle-Free Injection System (N-FIS), maintains clinical effectiveness while improving patient comfort. The change reflects a growing emphasis on making preventive healthcare more child-friendly without altering established vaccination protocols.

As adoption grows, Pune is emerging as an early example of how innovation in vaccine delivery can reshape everyday pediatric care.
