Pune: Leopard Was Allegedly Seen In Residential Area At Hadapsar; Panic Among Residents And Farmers

Hadapsar, 17th July 2021: A leopard has been seen in the urban area of Hadapsar. This has created panic among farmers and residents. The leopard has been roaming in the area for the past three days. Citizens have also taken pictures of leopards and demanded that safety measures should be taken immediately.

 

The leopard is being seen by Locals and farmers in the area for the last three days. Therefore, they brought the matter to the notice of Hadapsar MLA Chetan Tupe. The Forest Department has also been provided with photographs of the footprints of the leopard in the area.

 

Forest officials inspected the area with Tupe. At that time, eyewitnesses told Forest Department officials that the number of stray dogs in the area has decreased recently. Just hours later, a leopard wandering around the area was caught by an eyewitness.

 

Therefore, a demand has been made to the forest department to take immediate action against the leopard. The department advised citizens to be vigilant. While working in the fields, farmers are advised not to work sitting down for a long time. Also, keep the premises lively through the noise.
