Pune: Liquor Worth Rs 30 Lakh Seized; 47 Suspected Accused Arrested
Pune, 13th May 2023: By conducting a campaign against the sale and manufacture of illegal hand-baked liquor, the State Excise Department took action and confiscated goods worth Rs 30.19 lakh. This time 84 cases have been registered and 47 suspected accused have been arrested.
A report has been sent to the department to take action under MPDA against 32 people. Ramesh Chavan (41), a resident of Yerawada) has been transferred.
This action was taken on the orders of State Excise Commissioner Vijay Suryavanshi, State Excise Director Sunil Chavan, Deputy Commissioner Mohan Varde, Superintendent Charan Singh Rajput, Deputy Superintendent SR Patil, Yuvraj Shinde, SB Jagdale’s teams took the said action.
