Pune: Youth Stuck In Middle Of River In Kalyani Nagar; Rescued
Kalyani Nagar, 13th May 2023: Information about a youth jumping into the river from the bridge at Kalyani Nagar was received at the fire brigade control room at around 9.07 am. The name of the said youth could not be ascertained and his age is approximately 25 years.
Fire brigade vehicles from BT Kavade Road and Hadapsar Fire Station were dispatched to the site of the incidents. As soon as the jawans reached the spot, they saw that a young man was stuck in the water in the middle of the river, taking shelter from trees. At the same time, the jawans quickly got into the river with the help of the rope, a life jacket, and a life ring.
Also, the youth has been sent to the hospital in government ambulance 108 due to some injuries. Police have reached the spot and are conducting further investigation.
Fire officer Pramod Sonawane as well as Tandel Rajaram Kedari who swam in the river to save the life of the young man, Sandeep Randive and fireman Chandrakant Navale, Suraj Bade and driver Akshay Kalshetty, Amit Sarode and other firemen Pratap Phanse, Suraj Bade, Prashant Navgire, Sharad Navgire, Nitesh Dagle, Ajinkya Khade carried out the same operation.
