Pune: Lok Adalat Reduces Fines Of 1701 Motorists With Pending Traffic Violation Cases

Pune, 3rd September 3, 2023: The Pune District Legal Services Authority is taking proactive measures to address pending cases related to traffic rule violations by organizing a dedicated Lok Adalat.

 

This event will be held at the Deputy Commissioner of Police Traffic Branch Office, near Yerwada Post Office, Pune, on September 9, 2023. The initiative aims to guide motorists and has been operational since August 28, 2023.

 

A “Helpdesk” has been established at the Deputy Commissioner Traffic Branch Office in Yerwada, Pune. This assistance center provides guidance to citizens concerning traffic violations and has received an enthusiastic response from motorists. As per the District Legal Services Authority’s directive, the “Helpdesk” will continue its services until September 8, 2023. The final Lok Adalat session for this initiative is scheduled for September 9, 2023.

 

During the period from August 28, 2023, to September 2, 2023, a total of 1701 motorists voluntarily acknowledged their traffic rule violations at the Deputy Commissioner of Police Traffic Branch Office in Yerwada, Pune. Additionally, the pending traffic citations associated with these vehicles have been addressed.

 

The Pune City Traffic Branch and the District Legal Services Authority, Pune, are appealing to vehicle owners with pending traffic citations to visit the “Helpdesk.” They are encouraged to bring a photocopy of their Aadhaar card to facilitate the resolution process.
