Pune: Long-Term Relationship Turns Into Nightmare For Minor Girl As Ex-Boyfriend Threatens To Circulate Obscene Photos
Hinjawadi, 17th March 2023: A minor girl in Pimpri Chinchwad was sexually assaulted and her parents were threatened with the circulation of obscene photographs on social media by the accused. The incident occurred between February 28 and March 15, 2023, within the Hinjewadi police station’s jurisdiction.
The girl’s mother filed a complaint with the Hinjawadi police station (Pimpri Chinchwad), and an FIR has been lodged against Roshan Kailas Chavan, 25, who is believed to be the perpetrator. The incident has caused widespread outrage in the Hinjawadi area.
According to the police, the accused and the victim were in a long-term relationship, during which he took obscene photos of the girl on his mobile phone. The accused then started demanding money from the girl’s mother, threatening to make the photos viral on social media if they did not comply.
To prevent their daughter’s reputation from being tarnished, the girl’s parents transferred Rs 5,000 to the accused online. However, after receiving the payment, the accused sent the obscene photos of the girl to her mother’s phone.
The victim’s parents then approached the Hinjawadi police station to report the incident. The police have registered an FIR against the accused and are investigating the matter further.
