Pune: Loyola H.S, Vincent’s H.S set up Boys U-12 final; St Annes, St Josephs to fight for in GirlsUnder-14 title  

Pimpri, 3rd December 2024: St Annes, St Josephs, Pashan, Loyola H.S ‘A’ and Vincent’s HS booked their places in the final of the Fr. Schoch Memorial Inter School Hockey 2024 at the Maj Dhyanchand Hockey Stadium, Nehrunagar, Pimpri, on Sunday.

On Tuesday, in the Girls Under-14 semifinals, St Annes downed GRPS, Narayangaon 2-1. For the winners Ananya Thopte (29^th) and Sidhi Anudkar (32nd) scored, while Arnavi Phadyalam (59^th) scored in the last minute of play. Later, St Joseph’s Pashan rolled into the final puttting out Sant Tukaram  H.S 1-0, with Savani Gaikwad (20th) netting the all-important goal.

The tournament is being organised by Loyola High School along with ELAN (Ex-Loyola Alumni Network) and under the aegis of Hockey Maharashtra for school children for the fifth year in succession.

In the Boy’s Under-12 section, Loyola H.S ‘A’ put aside Loyola Edmond School 2-0 with goals from Rajveer Shinde (4^th – p.s) and Sairaj Shinde (5^th – p.c). In the other semifinal, St Vincent’s H.S eased past Gurukul ‘B’ 3-0 with Shourya Sethiya (22^nd, 40^th) netting a brace and Alex Francis (59th) completing the tally for St. Vincent’s.

The Boys Under-14 section, Sant Tukaram H.S upset St Vincent’s 2-0 after Prabhudeva Pushpakhore (45^th – p.c, 59^th – p.c) did the job with two penalty corner conversions. Joining them from the second seminals was, SAKEM, Narayangaon who had a 3-0 win over Modern H.S. Swayam Male (2^nd) early strike and a double by Sholk Sahane (16^th, 58th) did the job in making it to the final.
