Pune: Maharashtra Health Minister Advocates For ‘Right to Health’ Policy Implementation For Better Health Coordination
Katraj, 23rd April 2023: Maharashtra’s State Health Minister, Tanaji Sawant, has proposed the implementation of the ‘Right to Health’ policy to bring more harmony to the state’s health system.
Speaking at the Amrit Mahotsav year felicitation ceremony of Dr. Subhash Sanluke, Sawant highlighted the need for better coordination in the state’s health system.
During the ceremony, which was held at the Destitute Rehabilitation Center run by the Janseva Foundation, Sawant announced that the state government would provide 1500 fully equipped ambulances and air ambulances in the near future. He also donated five lakh eleven thousand rupees to the Janseva Foundation’s Destitute Rehabilitation Center.
Dr. Subhash Sanluke donated two lakh rupees to the Janseva Foundation’s Destitute Rehabilitation Center, saying that he was working for free to utilize his knowledge and experience at the state and central government levels.
The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Dr. Vinod Shah, President of the Janseva Foundation, Meena Shah, Prema Salunke, former Deputy Director of Health Department Dr. Hanumant Chavan, Dr. Ramchandra Hankare, and others.
Sawant emphasized the need for coordination in the health system and drew inspiration from the ‘Right to Health’ policy implemented by other states like Rajasthan. By adopting similar policies, Maharashtra can work towards achieving a more coordinated and efficient health system.
