Pune, 20th March 2023: The Maharashtra Legislative Council will deal with the problem of postponed joining dates for IT offer letters, which has left thousands of students who receive these letters through campus hiring each year feeling hopeless. A member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council named Shrikant Bhartiya brought the issue to the Minister’s notice by pointing out that there are no laws or regulations protecting students from the emotional and monetary harm brought on by this delay.

Students who obtain offer letters or letters of intent from IT organisations yet take months to start working are increasingly worried about the problem. While waiting for their IT careers to start, many students turn down other work chances, which adds to the stress, uncertainty, and financial load.

In response to the problem brought up by the Forum for IT Employees (FITE) during the State assembly session, which was authorised by speaker Neelam Gorhe, the Maharashtra upper house will debate the matter on Monday. This gives those IT freshmen who have been holding onto offer letters or letters of intent for the past six to twelve months great hope.

Several new hires have experienced this problem, claims Pavanjit Mane, president of the Forum for IT Workers. The Forum gathered the impacted freshmen’s information and received answers from 700 of them. The matter was brought up with Shrikant Bhartiya, and the Legislative Assembly will examine it on 20th March.
