Pune: Major Fire At Wanwadi Brought Under Control By Fire Brigade, No Deaths Or Injuries Reported

Pune, 11th November 2022: Yesterday, on 10th November at 11:30 pm, the fire brigade received a report of a fire at a house at Shiwarkar Chawl behind Shivarkar Garden, Wanwadi. The first vehicle and a tanker from Kondhwa Budruk first station were dispatched.

 

As soon as they reached the spot, they noticed a fire in some of the houses with wooden constructions in the area. Seeing the severity of the fire, additional help was dispatched from the force on the demand of the fire officials present on the spot. Four fire engines and two water tankers of the Pune fire brigade, and one fire engine of the Pune Cantonment board were rushed to the place, and action was taken to extinguish the fire.

 

 

Jawans brought the fire under control in about 20 minutes and averted further danger. Firefighters arrived in time and extinguished the fire, saving other houses and preventing the fire from spreading elsewhere. No one was injured or killed in the fire.

 

A domestic cylinder burst and four houses were completely burnt while three others acquired damages. The fire was possibly caused by an electrical short circuit and the family suffered heavy loss as all the household items have been burnt.

 

The fire brigade team involved in the operation included officers Sameer Sheikh, Kailas Shinde, Driver Sameer Tadvi, Deepak Kachre, Santosh Gaikwad, Jawans Nilesh Lonkar, Rahul Nalavde, Vishal Yadav, Prakash Shelar, Jitendra Kumhar, and Sandeep Pawar.
