Pune: Man Arrested For Illegal Possession Of Pistol, Found Due To Social Media Post
Pune, 5th January 2023: A man bought a country-made pistol and posted its picture on a social media account to impress his friends. Dattawadi police arrested the man for the illegal possession of a pistol.
The arrested person has been identified as Tushar Pandurang Bhalekar (32). Bhalekar had bought a pistol to exert influence. He had posted a photo of the country-made pistol on his social media account.
Police constables Kundan Shinde, Amit Surve, and Saddam Sheikh Parvati from Dattawadi police station were patrolling the area. At that time, Bhalekar posted a picture of the pistol on his social media account, and it was reported that he had purchased a locally-made pistol. The police team caught him. A pistol has been seized from him and the police are searching for the person who sold the pistol to him.
The arrest was made by a team of Senior Police Inspector Abhay Mahajan, Crime Branch Police Inspector Vijay Khomane, Sub-Inspector Chandrakant Kamthe and Kundan Shinde, Amit Surve, Saddam Sheikh, Dayanand Telange, Kishore Wale, Amol Dabde, and others.
