Pune: Man Arrested for Repeatedly Raping Mentally Challenged Woman in Nigdi
Pimpri Chinchwad, 5th June 2023: In a deeply disturbing incident in Nigdi, a mentally challenged woman was subjected to repeated acts of rape by a man.
The accused, identified as Manik Nanabhau Dhore, allegedly exploited the victim’s trust and carried out the heinous acts between May 2022 and March 2023 in Nigdi and Yevlewadi. The Nigdi police station has taken swift action and arrested the accused.
According to the police, a case has been filed against the accused, Manik Nanabhau Dhore (35 years old), as well as another woman involved in the crime. The victim’s mother lodged a complaint at the Nigdi police station on Sunday.
Shockingly, despite being aware of the victim’s mental illness, the accused managed to establish a close relationship with her, betraying her trust and subjecting her to rape in May 2022 and again in March 2023.
