Pune: Man Dies After Shop Wall Collapses In Ganesh Peth
Ganesh Peth, 12th July 2022: A man was seriously injured when a wall of a shop collapsed at Hamjekhan Chowk in Ganesh Peth today. Later, he succumbed to the injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Laxman Ramchandra Mali (55), a resident of Shaniwar Peth.
A construction project is underway near Hamjekhan Chowk in Ganesh Peth. Next to the construction project is the Galaxy Clothing Store. The work to move out the goods from the shop began on Tuesday afternoon. Mali, who was shifting the goods, got trapped under the debris after the wall next to the shop collapsed.
The incident was reported to the fire brigade. Jawan Sanjay Gaikwad and the locals pulled out Mali. He had sustained serious injuries and was admitted to Sassoon Hospital. He died during treatment, police said.
