Pune: Man Kills His Wife, A Minor Girl, Over Family Dispute
Pune, 28th October 2022: A shocking incident took place in the Lohegaon area where a husband strangled his wife, who was a minor, to death due to a family dispute after drinking. The husband has been arrested by the Vimantal police station in this case.

The deceased girl (17) was from Tingrenagar, Vishrantwadi. Chetan alias Akash Somnath Misal (23), a resident of Lohegaon, has been arrested in this case. The girl’s mother has filed a complaint with the police.
According to police, Chetan and the girl knew each other. He lured her into a love trap and ‘kidnapped’ her in November 2018. Her family had filed a complaint with the police. He was arrested by the police for luring and kidnapping the girl. The court had recently granted bail to Chetan in this case. Chetan then kidnapped the minor again and married her. Both were living in the Nimbalkarnagar area of Lohegaon for some days. As a family dispute started between them, Chetan started torturing the girl. After drinking alcohol, he brutally beat her up and strangled her to death.
The police have arrested the accused in this case.
The action was taken under the guidance of DCP (Zone 4) Rohidas Pawar, Assistant Commissioner of Police Aarti Bansode and Senior Police Inspector Vilas Sonde. The team included Police Inspector (Crime) Mangesh Jagtap, Assistant Police Inspector SN Lahane, Assistant Police Inspector Ratna Sapkale, policeman Sachin Jadhav and others.
