Pune: Man Kills Wife Alleging She Was Not Able To Conceive
Katraj, 21st March 2022: A man strangled his wife to death as she was allegedly not able to conceive. The incident took place in the Katraj area.
Bharati Vidyapeeth Police station has arrested Devanand Michhad Kalel (30), resident of Vetalnagar in Ambegaon Budruk, in this case. Kajal Devanand Kalel (24) is the name of the deceased.
Kajal’s father Maruti Bad has lodged the complaint with the Pune city police. Devanand is a native of Maan taluka in Satara district. He was married to Kajal two years ago. After the marriage, he started harassing Kajal for not being able to conceive his child.
The two had an argument two nights ago. The argument led to such a level that Devanand choked his wife and killed her. After receiving information about this incident, the police visited the spot. Devanand was arrested and remanded in police custody.
