Pune: Man Preparing For MPSC Dies By Suicide

Navi Peth, 15th January 2022: A 33-year-old man preparing for the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) exam allegedly died by suicide today.

The deceased has been identified as Amar Ramchandra Mohite (33), a resident of Navi Peth, Pune. His brother is posted as a police sub inspector (PSI) under Pimpri Chinchwad police.

The incident came to light around 1 pm today. As Mohite was not responding, his brother asked his friend at Vishrambaug police station who went to check. After the door was broken, Mohite was found in an unconscious state. He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead at 3 pm. He had consumed poisonous liquid, police said.

 

Police have registered a case of accidental death (AD) and further investigation is going on. Preliminary investigation has revealed that he was preparing for MPSC since 2010.
