Pune: Man Strangles Live-in Partner in Hadapsar, Surrenders to Police
Hadapsar, 24th May 2025: In a disturbing incident that has shocked the local community, a man allegedly strangled his live-in partner to death in the Shewalewadi area of Hadapsar and later surrendered himself to the police.
The accused, identified as Rahul Shivaji Misal, is currently in police custody. The crime took place in Bhandalkar Nagar, Shewalewadi, under the jurisdiction of the Hadapsar Police Station.
According to preliminary information, Rahul and the victim had been in a live-in relationship. During a dispute on Thursday, he allegedly strangled her to death. Following the incident, the accused went to Yavat Police Station and confessed to the crime.
Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Mogle of Hadapsar Police Station confirmed the arrest. “A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway,” he said.
