Pune: Man Tries To Set Himself On Fire In House, Rescued By Fire Brigade Officials
Pimpri Chinchwad 4th Oct 2023: The fire brigade department of Pimpri Chinchwad have rescued a man who was trying to set himself on fire inside a house. The 38-year-old man identified as Suresh Kimade was rescued with the help of local police. The incident was reported at around 7:30 pm on Wednesday.
According to officials, the Wakad Police Station had received information about the incident and they called the fire brigade team for help. Suresh, a resident of Kailas Nagar, Thergaon area has poured diesel on his body inside the locked room and he was trying to set himself on fire with a matchbox.
The fire brigade team after reaching the spot sprayed water on the person using House Reel House and simultaneously several officials broke open the door and he was rescued. The victim has not sustained any injuries in the incident. Further investigation in the matter is underway by the Wakad Police.
