Pune: Man Vandalized with Machete for Refusing to Pay for Alcohol in Pimple Gurav

Pimple Gurav, 9th September 2023: On Friday, a violent incident occurred in Pimple Gurav where a house was vandalized, and a man was attacked with a machete after he refused to pay for alcohol. According to the police, the accused had requested money from the victim to buy alcohol, but the victim declined.

In response, the accused verbally abused the victim and physically assaulted him. Frightened by the attack, the victim sought refuge in the bathroom. Vinod Shivaji Jadhav, a 34-year-old resident of Pimple Gurav, has filed a formal complaint at Sangvi Police Station.

Authorities have subsequently registered a case against Akshay Dashrath Shinde, a 23-year-old resident of Pimple Gurav. As per the police statement, the accused had requested money from the victim to purchase alcohol, but the victim declined. Subsequently, the accused verbally abused the victim and physically confronted him.

In response to the confrontation, the victim became frightened and sought refuge in the bathroom. Furthermore, the accused also vandalized the glass windows and doors of the house. A case has been officially registered by the Sangvi Police, and law enforcement authorities are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
