Pune, December 2, 2020: With an aim to upgrade skills in ‘Sales and Marketing’ of the students and budding entrepreneurs from smaller towns of Maharashtra, a 3-month study initiative called NYEP: NIVA Young Entrepreneurs Program has been taken up by Abhay Kardeguddi, a noted management expert from Pune with support from OnePlus, the mobile manufacturer.

The initiative would be completely free of cost for the selected candidates, especially from the smaller towns of the state and will attempt to provide in-depth understanding of Sales and Marketing functions of the business. It will emphasize on finding practical solutions through online training for the 8 selected UG/PG students/start-up founders from TIER II and TIER III towns of Maharashtra and will help them grow their business. Candidates between the age group of 18 to 25 years will be selected through online an assessment followed by an online interview. The last date for applications is December 15th, 2020 and it can be done on – https://nivagrowth.com/nyep/

“Research shows that the best products/services fail due to the lack of rightly channelized ‘Sales & Marketing’. We have also witnessed the fact that candidates coming from smaller towns possess extraordinary capabilities but miss out on opportunities due to lack of right guidance, exposure and know-how. This program will ensure that they don’t just get theoretical knowledge but hands-on practice and get equipped to apply the marketing techniques to their specific businesses and put their enterprise on an accelerated growth trajectory,” said Abhay Kardeguddi.

The topics in the program will include Marketing and Entrepreneurship, Strategic Marketing for Start-ups, Practical Marketing Plan for Market Entry and Development, Commercial sense in Selling, Distribution for New Business, Digital Marketing and Marketing Intelligence among other, which will help candidates start their enterprise in a small way or contribute in their family business or even help find partnership possibilities through their selling and marketing knowledge. Each selected candidate will also be guided by an expert mentor through one-to-one Online Sessions for granular guidance and direction.

The training initiative would be spread over 3 months and be conducted for about 4-5 hours per week along with additional 6-8 hours for practical training per week.

“From day one, students will be invited to take up real-life small projects at any organization of their choice, where they will be expected to work on any important topic under Marketing. At the end of the project before the semester, the candidates will have to submit a 2-page report on the activity,” Kardeguddi concluded.
