Pune: Manish Anand Files Independent Candidature for Chhatrapati Shivajinagar Assembly Constituency

Shivajinagar, 28th October 2024: Former Vice President of the Khadki Cantonment Board, Manish Anand, officially launched his campaign for the Chhatrapati Shivajinagar Assembly Constituency on Monday by filing his nomination papers as an independent candidate. The event showcased a significant show of strength, with Anand’s enthusiastic supporters rallying behind him.
The grand rally commenced from Anand’s office on Mula Road in Khadki, attracting hundreds of supporters as it made its way through key areas, including Khadki, Bopodi, Aundh Road, and Model Colony, before culminating at Ghole Road. Following the rally, Manish Anand, accompanied by several party workers, submitted his nomination to the election returning officer.

In a statement to the media, Anand addressed the recent announcement by the Congress party regarding their candidate for the Chhatrapati Shivajinagar Assembly Constituency. He emphasized, “Yesterday evening, the Congress party announced the candidacy of our colleague for this constituency. In response, we will initiate our campaign as previously decided. I seek the blessings of the people based on the work we have done together.”
Anand’s campaign seeks to leverage his past contributions to the community while positioning himself as a viable alternative in the upcoming elections. His supporters expressed their enthusiasm, chanting slogans that echoed throughout the area.
