Pune: Many Candidates Missed Examination Posts In PMC Due To Lack Of Documents

Pune, 14th October 2022: The online examination for six different posts in the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) was conducted in fifteen cities of the state on Thursday. Out of 86,994 candidates registered for the examination, 67,254 candidates appeared the examination. The municipal administration informed that many candidates had to miss the examination due to a lack of photocopies along with original documents in many places.
Last year, the state government approved the recruitment of the PMC. The Municipal Corporation planned to recruit a total of 448 posts of 135 Junior Engineers (Civil), 5 Junior Engineers (Mechanical), 4 Junior Engineers (Traffic Planning), 100 Assistant Encroachment Inspectors, 200 Clerks and 4Assistant Legal Officers.
The process was also completed and the online exam was announced.
To prevent bogus candidates, the original identity card along with the shaded copy was made binding to the candidates. A marriage registration certificate was required for married women. But many candidates did not have the necessary documents resulting in them missing the examination.
An average of 77.30 per cent of candidates cleared the exam. Meanwhile, the Servant Class Department informed that a case has been registered against a candidate for cheating.
