Pune: MD Drug Worth Rs 1 Crore Seized In Viman Nagar, One Person Arrested

Viman Nagar, 29th July 2022: The officials from Vimantal police station of Pune city police have arrested a criminal on police record and recovered Mephedrone (MD) drug worth Rs one crore from his possession.
The arrested accused has been identified as Arvind Ravindra Birhade (36), a resident of Amalner in Jalgaon district of Maharashtra. An FIR has been registered against him at Vimantal police station.
According to police, in the past Birhade has been involved in serious crimes like attempted murder, rape among others.
Acting on a tip-off received by policeman Sachin Jadhav, a team laid a trap near Symbiosis college and nabbed Birhade with 714 grams MD drug on Thursday (July 28). Further investigation is going on in the case.
The action was taken under the guidance of DCP (Zone 4) Rohidas Pawar, ACP Kishor Jadhav and Senior Police Inspector Bharat Jadhav. The team included Police Inspector (Crime) Mangesh Jadhav, PSI Ravindra Dhavre and police personnel Avinash Shewale, Sachin Kadam, Sachin Jadhav, Pradeep Mote, Rupesh Pisal, Girish Nanekar, Ankush Jogdande and Sanjay Aswale.
