Pune Metro Test Run from Shivajinagar To Ruby Hall Successful; Service To Start By End Of April

Pune, 28th March 2023: The Pune Metro was successfully tested between Shivajinagar Court and Ruby Hall stations on Monday. Due to this, the service on this route will likely start by the end of April. After the opening of this route, the number of passengers on the Metro is also expected to increase.

The test run of the Pune Metro from Shivajinagar station to Ruby Hall station was conducted on Monday afternoon. The Metro left Civil Court (Shivajinagar) station at 3:50 PM and reached Ruby Hall station at 4:07 PM. The speed of this Metro was 10 km per hour. After crossing the Mula-Mutha river near Sangam bridge, the Metro reached Mangalwar Peth (RTO) station. From there, the Metro crossed Pune railway station and reached Ruby Hall station on schedule. The Metro met the targets set in this test.

The 12 km line from Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Station to Phugewadi Station and Vanaz Station to Garware College Station was opened for passengers in 2022. The Phugewadi Station – Shivajinagar Court Station and Garware College Station – Shivajinagar Court Station – Ruby Hall Station routes will be opened for passengers soon.
