Pune: MG Road Traffic Closed for 3 Hours Today for Maintenance Work
Camp, 3rd October 2025: The Lashkar Traffic Division of Pune city police has issued a traffic advisory as essential maintenance work is scheduled on M.G. Road on 3 October. The work will result in temporary road closures between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm, with traffic diversions in place to minimize inconvenience for commuters.
Traffic Diversions:
Indira Gandhi Chowk → Mahavir Chowk: Traffic will be closed and diverted straight towards Ambedkar Statue. The stretch from Ambedkar Chowk to Indira Gandhi Chowk will remain open for two-way traffic during this period.
Central Street Chowk → Mahavir Chowk: Traffic will be redirected via Sarbatwala Chowk.
Bhopal Chowk → Kohinoor Chowk: Vehicles will be diverted towards Shivaji Market.
George Hotel Chowk → Naj Chowk: Drivers can turn left at Indira Gandhi Chowk to reach their destinations.
The Pune City Traffic Police have urged citizens to follow the alternative routes provided and cooperate with traffic personnel to ensure smooth movement during the maintenance work.
Commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and allow extra travel time to avoid delays.
