Deccan, 3rd October 2025: The Deccan Traffic Division of Pune city police has issued a traffic advisory as essential repair work is scheduled at Garware Bridge on 3 October. The maintenance is expected to affect traffic flow between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm, with temporary closures on several major routes.
Affected Routes and Alternative Arrangements:
Junglee Maharaj Road → Garware Bridge → Goodluck Chowk: Traffic will be closed. Commuters are advised to continue straight on Junglee Maharaj Road from Khandoji Baba Chowk to reach their destination.
Khandoji Baba Chowk → Ferguson College Road: This route will also remain closed. Motorists can turn left from Khandoji Baba Chowk onto Prabhat Road to reach their destinations.
Jhansi Rani Chowk → Junglee Maharaj Road → Khandoji Baba Chowk: Traffic on this stretch may be closed as required.
The Pune City Traffic Police have urged citizens to use the alternative routes provided and cooperate with traffic personnel to ensure smooth movement during the repair work.
