Mhanlunge-Maan, 1st March 2023: The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has prepared five urban planning schemes to develop infrastructure in the rural areas of the district. These plans have been sent to the government for approval. However, due to receiving instructions on the Mhalunge-Maan scheme, there are difficulties in completing this scheme.

A hearing will be held on the suggestions received on this plan from Wednesday (1st March). A public notice has been issued by PMRDA for a hearing. The hearing will be held at the office of PMRDA in Akurdi.

Mhalunge-Maan Draft Town Planning Scheme as amended as per section 72 of Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act 1966 has been approved by PMRDA vide notification dated 31st December 2022. SG Patil has been appointed as arbitrator for this scheme.

A hearing schedule has been fixed by the Arbitrator to give an individual hearing to all concerned before the preparation of the Preliminary / Final Town Planning Plan. The Mhalunge-Maan scheme has been developed over an area of 250 hectares. Farmers whose agricultural land has been lost have given suggestions regarding this scheme.

PMRDA has received more than 5,500 suggestions. In this hearing, the work of the scheme will be completed 100 per cent by satisfying the farmers. This scheme is proposed for the development of villages coming into the Mhalunge-Maan area in the future.

Considering the population of this area, it is planned to construct 12-meter roads following the geographical area, lay sewage management pipes, develop green parks, construct educational complexes, and construct hospitals to provide medical facilities. However, farmers who are affected by this scheme have registered objections and suggestions.

Hearing on Mhalunge-Maan Urban Development Plan will be held from 1st to 24th March. Accordingly, a special notice has been sent to the landowners for a hearing in person or through the post. The details of the hearing are available on PMRDA’s website http://www.pmrda.gov.in. Also, this detail has been made available at the Gram Panchayat office building at Mauje Mhalunge-Maan.

Deputy Collector Ramdas Jagtap informed that the Arbitrator of the scheme Shivraj Patil has requested that the concerned should attend the Arbitration Department at the office of PMRDA at Akurdi on the scheduled date and time as per the hearing program.
