Pune: Minor Boy Fires Shot From Pistol, Injuring Young Man In Talegaon Dabhade
Talegaon Dabhade, 24th April 2024: Due to animosity, a minor boy fired a shot at a young man, piercing his shoulder. The incident occurred at Bhegade Aali in Talegaon Dabhade around 11:30 PM on Tuesday (23rd April).
The victim, identified as Aditya Ganesh Bhegade (27, residing in Talegaon Dabhade), complained to the Talegaon Dabhade Police Station, Pimpri Chinchwad police.
According to Senior Police Inspector Kishore Patil, Aditya had engaged in a confrontation with one of the minors six months ago. Additionally, he had associations with the father of a youth who was in opposition to the minor. These connections, coupled with interactions at their residence, fueled the minor’s resentment towards Aditya. They resorted to mutual slander on social media.
On Tuesday night, around 11:30 PM, Aditya was seated on a two-wheeler in front of his residence, engrossed in a mobile game. At that moment, a 17-year-old minor, accompanied by two companions, approached Aditya. The minor discharged three rounds from his pistol, one of which struck Aditya’s shoulder. The 17-year-old and his companions fled the scene.
Despite being wounded, Aditya personally reported the incident to the Talegaon Dabhade Police Station before seeking medical attention. A case has been filed, and the police are actively pursuing the minors involved.
Both parties face charges, as both the 17-year-old shooter and Aditya Bhegade have criminal records with multiple prior offences on file with the police.
