Pune: Minor Girl Delivers Child Herself At Home By Watching YouTube, Throws Newborn From Second Floor
Pune, 18th October 2022: A very shocking incident has come to light from Kondve Dhavande area, a 17-year-old minor girl gave birth to a child at her house by watching a birth delivery video on YouTube after which she threw the newborn from the second floor of her building. The State Women’s Commission has taken cognizance of this shocking incident.
A case has been registered against the accused and the police have been directed to arrest the accused immediately.
The State Commission for Women Chairperson, Rupali Chakankar has informed that the police have been instructed to also investigate and take action against the doctor that the girl and her mother had gone to for a checkup. According to reports, the minor girl and her mother had gone to a private hospital for a checkup. At that time, the doctors suspected that the girl might be pregnant. However, this was ignored by the doctors.
According to Rupali Chakankar, the two-day-old newborn has been admitted to Sassoon Hospital for treatment. There was a stir when the newborn child was found on the society premises after which the police took the child to Sassoon Hospital for treatment.
The minor girl who gave birth to the child is also being treated in a private hospital. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Child Abuse Act. The police said that strict action will be taken against the accused.
