Pune: MIT-WPU Offers Free Bus Service To JEE Aspirants

Pune, September 1, 2020: Maharashtra Institute of Technology-World Peace University (MIT-WPU) has arranged specially designed Coronavirus (COVID-19) preventive equipped Bus services for students appearing for Joint entrance exams (JEE) mains, scheduled from September 1 to September 6.

These buses will follow all the COVID-19 preventive measures like social distancing and sanitizing the bus frequently. Two routes have been designed for all the JEE aspirants so that they can reach their respective examination centres. The departure time will be at 6 am, and 10 am every day from 1st to 6th September. Pickup and drop off services will follow the route below.

Route no 1:
The bus will originate from Kothrud Depot, the first stop will be Opposite PMT Bus Depot Deccan, second will be Opposite Income Tax office Swargate, and the final stop would be the examination centre- ION Digital Zone Ramtekdi.

Route no 2:
The bus will originate from MIT-WPU kothrud, with the first stop Opposite Karve Statue, second at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Chowk, Karve road and then the final stop would be the examination centre- ION Digital zone Wadgaon Budruk.

Speaking to Punekarnews.in, Pravin V Patil, CEO – CIAP (Centre for Industry-Academia Partnership), MIT-WPU, said, “Safety is our utmost concern. These two buses will be sanitized twice during the pickup and drop off as well. We will only take one student per seat. So if the bus is 52 seater only 29 students will be accommodated. There are no charges for this and this is a free service”.
