Pune, 15th May 2025: Taking a proactive step towards public service, MLA Bapusaheb Pathare from the Vadgaon Sheri constituency has launched a citizen outreach initiative titled ‘Janta Darbar’. The program aims to provide a platform for residents of Pune city, Pune rural, and Pimpri-Chinchwad to voice their concerns and find immediate solutions.

The initiative was officially inaugurated on Maharashtra Day under Pathare’s leadership. Organized at the NCP Bhavan in Shivajinagar, the Janta Darbar is held on the first and third Thursday of every month. Since its inception, the platform has proven effective in resolving a variety of public issues in a timely manner.

In a recently held session, a significant number of citizens attended, reflecting the growing public trust in the program. People from different localities came forward to raise matters ranging from infrastructure to civic amenities. While many issues were addressed on the spot, some were forwarded to relevant departments for appropriate action.

Speaking at the event, MLA Bapusaheb Pathare emphasized the purpose behind the initiative:
“This Janta Darbar has been started with the intent to serve the people and resolve their concerns directly. I am committed to addressing the issues that citizens face and honoring the trust they have placed in me as their elected representative.”

He further encouraged citizens to actively participate in these sessions and assured that all problems presented would be handled sincerely, with support from the administrative machinery.

By creating an open channel for communication between the public and authorities, the Janta Darbar serves as a bridge of accountability and responsiveness — a model of grassroots democracy in action.
