Wanowrie, March 24, 2021: A case has been registered against Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) corporator Sainath Babar and other MNS workers for obstructing work at the municipal office in Ramtekdi and throwing wet and dry garbage on files and chairs. Assistant Commissioner Kishori Shinde has lodged a complaint in this regard at the Wanowrie police station.

According to the police, a team from Delhi had come to conduct a cleanliness survey at the municipal office. Therefore, the complainant, Assistant Commissioner Kishori Shinde, had gone with the team to inspect and conduct the survey.

Meanwhile, Babar contacted worker Gorakh Ingle to get the information regarding the survey. After receiving information that the complainant was not in the office, Sainath Babar and some other MNS workers reached the municipal office without giving any prior idea.

When asked regarding their reason to visit the office, they forcefully entered the cabin and threw dry and wet waste on files and chairs, creating a nuisance and tried to create obstacles for other officials in carrying out work at the administrative office.

The corporator and the workers also did not follow any safety measures against COVID-19 despite the rising COVID-19 cases across the State.

Wanowrie police are investigating the case further.
