Pune, 30th May 2023: Already narrow, including trees obstructing the traffic, cracks in the concrete embankment, exposed gravel due to flying asphalt, potholes created at various places, and two-way ruts at many places, the Mohammed Aadi to Handewadi road has become dangerous for traffic. Despite such a situation, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is largely ignoring this matter.

The road from Mohammed Wadi to Handewadi is about 1.5-2 kilometers. Asphalting has been done from Nyati Chowk to the school and Dighe Park. However, the entire road up to the Katraj-Mantarwadi bypass has become dangerous for traffic. The road is narrow in the Nyati Enclave area.

This concrete road is broken in some places. Some trees have come in the road. The sidebars are exposed. The gravel is exposed and there are pits in places. Due to warehouses on this road, heavy traffic is taking place on a large scale. Due to this, the road is getting worse day by day. On both sides of the road, there are piles of debris and garbage.

While traveling through all these dangerous routes, two-wheeler drivers have to travel with difficulty. A complaint has been made by Sharda Walhekar, Shobha Moze, Shilpa Rao, Ashish Momaya, Bhangire, and Mandesh Chavan.

Avinash Kamthe, Deputy Engineer, Municipal Corporation informed, “A tender has been issued for the work of this road leading to Handewadi from the Mohammed Wadi side. The road, which is narrow at some places, will be widened and the repair work will also be done in the next few days.”
