Pune: Mohini Wagh Faked Grief Over Husband Satish’s Murder, Orchestrated Killing with Extramarital Lover: Reports
Hadapsar, 27th December 2024: Daily updates are emerging regarding the murder of Satish Wagh, the maternal uncle of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLC Yogesh Tilekar. Pune Police have revealed that Wagh was murdered as part of a conspiracy orchestrated by his wife, Mohini Wagh, who reportedly paid a bounty to her lover, the accused Akshay Jawalkar. This shocking incident has shaken Maharashtra.
Akshay, also known as Sonya Harish Javalkar, and Mohini Satish Wagh have been arrested in connection with the murder of Satish Wagh, a hotelier. Reports suggest that Mohini paid Rs 5 lakh to Akshay to carry out the crime. On 9th December, Akshay kidnapped Satish from Pune-Solapur Road during his morning walk. Inside a car, Akshay stabbed him over 70 times, brutally killing him. The body was later disposed of in the jurisdiction of Yavat Police Station under Pune Rural Police.
What adds to the shock is Mohini’s behavior after the murder. She reportedly pretended to be grief-stricken, crying and feigning mourning, even during police investigations. However, an anonymous tip received by Pune Police exposed the relationship between Mohini and Akshay. It was discovered that the two had been in an extramarital affair for 11 years.
During the investigation, Akshay went into hiding but was eventually apprehended along with an accomplice. During interrogation, Akshay confessed to the murder and detailed Mohini’s involvement. Pune Police arrested Mohini on 25th December. The investigation is ongoing, and all the accused are currently in police custody.
