Pune: More Fun in the Sun, PMC Announces Longer Garden Hours
Pune, 9th April 2023: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced a new set of garden timings that will provide more opportunities for children to enjoy their summer holidays.
The gardens will now be open from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM, with a one-hour extension in the morning and a half-hour extension in the evening.
Ashok Gorphade, the head of the PMC Garden Department, stated that the extension of timings is aimed at providing more fun and entertainment for children during their vacations. Despite the extended timings, there will be no increase in ticket prices.
This move has been welcomed by the public as it offers more time for families and children to relish the greenery in the city. The extra hour in the morning and the additional half-hour in the evening provide an opportunity for early-morning walkers and evening strollers to make the most of the pleasant summer weather.
