Pune: MP Barne Urges Action As One-Way Traffic Implementation Backfires Between Bhumkar Chowk And Hinjawadi
Wakad, 29th May 2023: The implementation of the one-way traffic system between Bhumkar Chowk, Vinodevasti, and Laxmi Chowk leading to IT Park Hinjawadi has caused a surge in congestion instead of providing relief to commuters.
Local residents and traders are now forced to take a detour of two kilometers, resulting in significant inconvenience. Shiv Sena MP Shrirang Barne has taken note of the situation and urged the police administration to take immediate and effective action to address the growing concerns.
In a letter submitted to Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey, MP Barne highlighted the hardships faced by residents and businesses in the area due to the one-way traffic arrangement. The detour required for daily activities has resulted in frustration among locals, leading to worsened traffic conditions and frequent congestion. Pedestrians are also finding it challenging to safely cross the road.
