Pune: MP Supriya Sule Seeks Probe into NEET OMR Sheet Tampering Allegation by Pimpri-Chinchwad Student

Ravet, 12th June 2025: Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) MP Supriya Sule has raised serious concerns about the integrity of the NEET 2025 examination process after a student from Pimpri-Chinchwad alleged discrepancies in her OMR sheet and was later threatened for speaking out.
Muskan Shaikh, a 17-year-old NEET aspirant from Ravet, has claimed that the Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheet released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) does not match the one she originally filled during the exam held on May 4. In her police complaint, she also alleged being threatened by two masked men riding a scooter on June 8 when she went out for a cycle ride in Adarshnagar.
The student’s father, Vasim Shaikh, told reporters that the family had flagged the issue to the NTA through email on June 3, the same day the provisional answer key and OMR responses were released. “We also submitted a formal complaint at the NTA headquarters in Delhi on June 10, requesting the agency to allow corrections before the final results,” he said.
Muskan, in her police complaint, alleged that the men warned her against pursuing the matter further, threatening harm to her and her family. The Ravet police have registered a non-cognisable offence and are currently verifying CCTV footage from the area. “We are focusing our investigation on the threat aspect of the case,” said Senior Police Inspector Nitin Phatangare.
Responding to the allegations, Baramati MP Supriya Sule expressed her concern over the alleged manipulation. “When such incidents come to light, it seriously undermines public trust in the examination system. If answer sheets are being tampered with, it threatens the future of hardworking students,” Sule posted on social media platform X, calling for a thorough investigation and action against those responsible.
According to Muskan’s father, this was her second attempt at NEET. “She had taken the exam last year but didn’t qualify. This year, she was confident of scoring between 645 and 650 marks based on her preparation,” he said. The family has also submitted a separate complaint to the Chinchwad police, under whose jurisdiction the examination centre falls.
The NTA is expected to declare the NEET 2025 results on June 14.
