Pune, 3rd January 2025: Today, Baramati MP Supriya Sule visited the Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Memorial (Phule Wada) on the occasion of Savitribai Phule’s birth anniversary to pay respects. Afterwards, MP Sule addressed the media, commenting for the first time on the recent events in Beed District concerning the kidnapping and murder of Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh. She also targeted Maharashtra Minister of Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection and Parali MLA Dhananjay Munde.

Sule recalled how, during the Indian National Congress era, ministers would resign when faced with accusations, citing numerous examples. Providing examples of ministers resigning amid serious accusations, she said, “When Ashok Chavan was the Chief Minister, he resigned when allegations were made against him. Sharad Pawar also resigned after allegations were made.”

MP Sule continued, saying the incidents in Beed and Parbhani are disturbing, describing them as “a perversion against humanity” that leaders from all parties are condemning. “Therefore, decisions should be made based on morality,” Sule stated. She added that if people from all parties had united, the issue would not have taken a political turn. She noted that an investigation has now been ordered through a Special Investigation Team (SIT).

When asked about Sharad Pawar and Chhagan Bhujbal sharing a platform at a program in Chakan, Sule responded, “We have had family ties with the Bhujbal family for many years. There has never been a gap between us. We have never brought politics into it and we will never bring it in.”

Regarding the fact that many ministers have not yet taken charge of their departments despite the new government formation, Sule remarked, “Currently, only one person is active in the government, that is Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Everyone should understand what this means.”
