Pune: MPCB To Install Five New Air Quality Monitoring Systems In Pimpri- Chinchwad

Pimpri, 14th November 2021: Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) will install an air quality monitoring system at five places in Pimpri-Chinchwad city.

The equipment will be set up at Thergaon, Pimple Nilakh, Nehru Nagar, Pimpri and Bhosari. The system will provide real-time data of the city’s air quality to the MPCB. It will be activated within one and a half months, said officials.

Along with measuring air quality, the system will also help to understand the temperature and atmosphere of the city.

Earlier there was three air quality monitoring system which was installed in the city by SAFAR- IITM. This is the first time when MPCB itself is installing such a system. The first system has been installed at Ambedkar Chowk in Pimpri.
