Cab Driver Loots Passenger On Mumbai-Pune Expressway For Asking To Drive Slowly

Pune, 14th November 2021: A passenger travelling by shared vehicle was robbed by the driver for asking to drive slowly. The driver forcibly took away the passenger’s mobile phone and cash.

The incident took place on November 12 near Gahunje village on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway. The driver has been arrested by the police after a case was registered against him.

According to police, Ravi Kumar Lilanandamurthy Pula (43) of Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh was travelling in a shared four-wheeler from Urse Tolanaka in Talegaon Dabhade to Pune. At that time, the driver of the four-wheeler was driving the vehicle at a high speed.

Ravikumar told him to drive slowly. This led to an argument between the complainant and the driver. He stopped the vehicle under the Gahunje flyover and the accused snatched Rs 9,000 in cash and a mobile phone worth Rs 2,000 from the complainant.
