Pune: MSEDCL Launches Electricity Improvement Scheme In Chakan MIDC
Pune, 10th February 2023: To supply more quality and smooth power to the industrial consumers in Chakan MIDC, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has started three new switching stations, a capacity increase of one switching station and various other works approved under the MIDC Electricity Improvement Scheme.
On this occasion, the President of the Federation of Chakan Industries, Dilip Batwal, and office bearers Vinod Jain, Nilesh Rathi, Executive Engineer, Manish Thackeray, Amit Kulkarni, Chief Engineer of Pune Circle, Rajendra Pawar, and others were prominently present.
Chief Engineer Rajendra Pawar said that industrial customers are important, and Mahavitraan is committed to providing round-the-clock smooth and quality power supply to them along with prompt service. Efforts are being made to speed up the empowerment of the power system. Also, various works are being proposed, including increasing the capacity of power transformers in the high-pressure substations of Mahatransco. The Chief Engineer instructed that the switching station and other works started under the Electricity Improvement Scheme should be completed within the next three months.
An expenditure plan of Rs 15.49 crore has been approved in Chakan MIDC under the Electricity System Improvement Scheme. Three new switching stations, capacity enhancement of one switching station, 35 km of new underground lines, division of overloaded lines and laying of new lines, six new ring main units, and others will be done. Therefore, more quality and smooth power supply will be available to about 3200 industrial customers in Chakan MIDC, it was informed at this time.
