Pune: MSEDCL launches WhatsApp number for citizens to complain about electricity in Pune
Pune July 06, 2020: The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has activated a whatsapp number for citizens of urban and rural areas in the Pune district to register grievances. The citizens can complain or give information to the authorities about the safety hazards such as power outage, leakage or hanging on the ground, fuse box and feeder pillar doors breaking or not, underground cable falling due to excavation with images on the WhatsApp number.
MSEDCL Pune Regional Director Ankush Nale has issued a circular in this regard and stated that according to the images and information/complaints received through WhatsApp, the problem will be solved and an electric system will be repaired immediately.
“The WhatsApp number 7875767123 is for Pune circle including Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad areas, Haveli, Mulshi, Velhe, Maval, Khed, Junnar and Ambegaon. Another number 7875768074 is for Baramati, Indapur, Daund, Shirur, Bhor and Purandar talukas under Baramati circle,” said MSEDCL spokesperson of Pune circle Nishikant Raut.
He said, “This number will only accept information/complaints from the power distribution system with photos of security risks.”
