Pune : Multi-Speciality Hospital To Be Established In Kondhwa On DBFOT Model On PMC Land
Pune 22nd August 2023: In a significant development, the Pune Municipal Corporation has floated a tender to start a multi-speciality hospital in Kausar Baug area of Kondhwa. The hospital will be built under Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Transfer (DBFOT) model and it will have around 75 to 100 beds to treat patients, said officials.
The municipal corporation will provide the necessary land for this hospital, and the operational expenses for running the hospital will be borne by the relevant institution. The hospital will be built on around 17,424 square feet plot in Kausar Bagh area that is reserved for a hospital.
The decision to uplift this hospital using the DBFOT model was made by the administration due to the associated costs of construction, medical facilities, as well as the recruitment of skilled medical staff. The land will be given to the concerned firm to run the hospital for a period of 30 years.
According to officials, a total of 10 beds will be kept reserved for the patients referred by the municipal corporation while 10% patients will be reserved for the patients admitted under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS). Only those forms which can meet the expectations of the municipal corporation and criterias needed to establish the hospital will be considered for the tender, said officials.
