Pune-Mumbai Expressway: 1 Killed, 16 Injured In ST Bus Accident

Pune, November 26, 2020: A Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus has met with a tragic accident on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway. The accident took place on the lane leading to Mumbai at 2 am today.
The MSRTC bus (No. MH 14 – BT 4697) travelling from Satara (Kaledhon) to Mumbai (Parel) was rammed from one side by a vehicle. One passenger lost his life and 16 others, including the driver, were injured in the mishap near Panvel.
Passengers in the right-hand seats were seriously injured as the vehicle hit from the right side and the right side of the bus has been completely damaged. The passengers were immediately rushed to MGM Hospital, Kamothe for further treatment. Highway safety police are searching for the driver who hit the bus and fled away from the spot.
