Pune-Nashik Highway Accident Claims 3 Lives from Same Family; 2 Injured
Pune, 23rd March 2026: In a tragic accident on the Pune-Nashik highway, three members of a family were killed after their car collided head-on with a private travels vehicle late Sunday night.
According to police, the incident took place around 11.30 pm near Eklahare when the car, travelling from Nashik towards Pune, went out of control and rammed into an oncoming travels bus. The impact was so severe that the car was completely mangled.
The deceased have been identified as Mallikarjun Shivraj Ambegave, his wife Aarti Mallikarjun Ambegave, and his mother-in-law Lata Balu Tuplondhe, all of whom died on the spot.
Two teenagers, a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl, who were also travelling in the same car, survived the crash but sustained serious injuries.
They are currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Manchar, and their condition is reported to be critical. The family was reportedly on their way home when tragedy struck.
