Pune-Nashik Semi High-Speed Rail Route Still Waiting For Approval Of Union Cabinet
Pune, 29th August 2022: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde along with Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reviewed the implementation of important infrastructure projects in the Maharashtra state from the War Room of at the Mantralaya in Mumbai today (August 29).
Pune-Nashik Semi High-Speed Rail route has been approved by the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog in April 2022 but the approval of the Union Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs is pending for the route.
For this, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also directed to speed up the matters of land acquisition of private land, and transfer of government and forest land.
Apart from this, the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister also discussed the works of the Pune Metro, the proposed airport at Purandar, the Metro at Nagpur and the airport in this meeting.
Chief Secretary Manukumar Srivastava, Managing Director of National High-Speed Railway Corporation Rajendra Prasad along with MMRDA Commissioner, Collector and Secretaries of concerned departments were present in this meeting.
