Pune Police Bans Creation Of Fireballs Or Releasing Them Into Air With Flammable Material

Pune, 29th August 2022: It is prohibited to create fireballs or release them in the air with the help of inflammable material on roads, in public places, or front of public Ganesha Mandal within Pune City Police Commissionerate limits.

This order will be applicable from August 31 to September 10. Pune City Police Joint Commissioner Sandeep Karnik has informed that action will be taken against the concerned if the order is violated.

During Ganeshotsav, Ganesh Mandals at their place of establishment and in processions create fireballs with the help of kerosene, diesel, petrol, gas etc. inflammable substances or release them in the air which may cause danger to human life and private or public property.

Therefore, as per Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, these matters are prohibited from August 31 to September 10, 2022.

Violators of the order shall be liable to punishment under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code, the order said.
